LEGO The Ice Emperor serves as the primary antagonist in the "Ice Chapter" of Ninjago, Season 11: Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu. He represents a corrupted version of the Ninja, Zane. The story reveals that after Zane's banishment to the Never-Realm, he lost his memories and a Formling named Vex manipulated him into seizing power, immersing the Realm into an eternal winter. As the Ice Emperor, Zane wields the powerful, Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu through his scepter, giving him enhanced cryokinetic abilities, including mass ice generation, the creation of an Elemental Dragon named Boreal, and the power to control his Blizzard Samurai army.

Physically, the Ice Emperor appears in heavy white armor and a helmet that covers his mouth. This appearance effectively conceals his true identity as a Nindroid, preventing others from recognizing him and contributing to his emotionless, tyrannical facade. His design shares striking similarities with Zane, featuring the same bright blue, glowing eyes and a white color scheme.
Role :
The Ice Emperor's reign of terror significantly impacts the Never-Realm's inhabitants, specifically the Yetis and the Formlings. He demanded the elimination of the Yetis, leaving only one survivor, Krag, and froze the entire Formlings village, except Kataru and Akita after Vex falsely labeled them as a threat. The Ice Emperor imprisoned the Formling Kataru, Akita's brother, sparing only Akita. The Ninja's arrival in the Never-Realm, particularly Lloyd, who eventually discovers the Emperor's true identity, challenges his absolute rule.

He interacts with several key characters throughout the Season. His main relationship is with his manipulative advisor, General Vex, who plots out his rise to power. The Ice Emperor overthrows the previous ruler, Grimfax, turning his army into the Blizzard Samurai and forcing Grimfax to serve him. He also engages in a confrontation with Akita, who seeks revenge, and Lloyd, who ultimately helps him remember his true self.
Journey :
Ultimately, Vex's cruel taunts towards Lloyd accidentally trigger Zane's memories, reminding him of his core purpose: "to protect those who cannot protect themselves". Regaining his identity, Zane destroys the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu, immediately ending the eternal winter and freeing all those frozen in ice. He freezes Vex. as punishment for his manipulation and helps restore Grimfax to his rightful throne, effectively ending the Ice Emperor's rule. At the end, of the "Ice Chapter" all the Ninjas: Kai, Jay, Cole, Nya, and Lloyd reunite with Zane to return back to Ninjago City.
