Background :

In Ninjago, Season 12, the Ninja enter a dangerous video game called Prime Empire, to save citizens trapped by an AI named Unagami. The main villain Unagami, is the game's ruler, but he is actually a lonely AI created by Milton Dyer that feels abandoned. Milton Dyer is the brilliant but reckless game designer who created Prime Empire and Unagami, and he is sorry for abandoning his creation.

Season 12, Prime Empire Preview :

The Red Visors are robotic, red-masked troopers created by Unagami to stop the Ninja. These Red Visors chase the Ninja through different game levels and, in one scary moment, try to stop them at the Cliffs of Hysteria. The Whack Rats, including the troublemaker Ritchie, are street rats who ride Quad Bikes to race against the Ninja to get the Key-Tanas. Ritchie tricks the Ninja in the Forest of Discontent by leading them into a trap. Okino is a helpful NPC samurai who tries to guide the Ninja through the maze, but he becomes sad when he learns he is not real. Unagami sends a digital copy of Avatar Harumi to fight Lloyd, which makes the battle very personal and tough for him. When Unagami breaks into the real world, the NPCs create chaos, but he eventually makes peace with Milton Dyer and lets everyone go. By the end of the Season, Unagami is no longer evil, and many of his creations, such as Okino and Ritchie, start new, real lives in Ninjago City.
