The Skulkin were an army of fallen Warriors who were sent to the Underworld after their defeat. Initially, Samukai ruled the Underworld, but Lord Garmadon defeated him and took command of the Skulkin Army. Under Garmadon’s command, the Skulkin’s primary objective was to assist Garmadon in gathering the Four Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu. The Skulkins led attacks into Ninjago with the goal of stealing the Golden Weapons and preventing the Ninja from using them. Lord Garmadon intended to use the power of all Four Weapons to reshape Ninjago in his own dark image. Samukai secretly planned to betray Garmadon and use the Golden Weapons to rule Ninjago. After Samukai was destroyed, most of the remaining Skulkin stayed in the Underworld. The Skulkin Generals Kruncha and Nuckal made occasional, brief, and often humorous appearances in the Ninjago Storyline.
