Background :
LEGO The Mechanic, has a cyborg appearance that reflects his obsession with bionic parts. His signature look includes a black bowler hat with a Nindroid visor over his left eye and a long, torn red coat over a beige sweater with visible metal parts and cables that hold his robotic arm. He consistently modifies his robotic arm, which has evolved from a simple flamethrower to an advanced bionic arm and eventually a crystal blaster when The Overlord empowers him. His appearance visually represents his character arc, starting as a "fifth-tier" criminal and gradually enhancing himself to become a, technological advanced antagonist who takes great pride in his mechanical modifications.

Role :
The Mechanic's role in Ninjago evolves significantly, starting as a minor criminal who repaired Noodle Trucks for Master Chen's, Anacondrai Cultists. After the Ninja put Chen out of business, the Mechanic began a cycle of crime, imprisonment, and escape, consistently vowing revenge on the Ninja, especially Zane, whom he sought to take apart for spare parts. He has vowed revenge on the entire Ninja Team: Kai, Jay, Cole, Zane, Lloyd, and Nya. The mysterious AI, Unagami later elevated his status, giving him a central role in Season 12: Prime Empire as a secondary antagonist, where he built the Manifestation Gate to bring Unagami into the real world. Most notably, the Crystal King (The Overlord) recruited him into the Council of the Crystal King, strengthening his position as a major villain in the Crystalized, Season.

Interactions :
The Mechanic interacts with various characters throughout his appearances. While in Kryptarium Prison, he interacted with several inmates, including Captain Soto, Ultra Violet, and Fugi-Dove. The Mechanic even formed a temporary alliance with Ultra Violet and Fugi-Dove during an escape attempt. He held Master Wu hostage, forcing Zane to help him open the portal. In Dragons Rising, he encounters the new Ninja: Sora and Arin, who ultimately defeated him in a mech battle.
