Background :
LEGO Aspheera Minifigure, is an ancient Serpentine sorceress who features as a main antagonist in Ninjago: Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu (Season 11) and later as a major antagonist in Crystalized (Season 15). She is a powerful, vengeful character whose actions set major plot points in motion, including Zane's banishment to the Never-Realm. Aspheera's defining characteristic is her burning desire for revenge against Master Wu, whom she calls the "Treacherous Deceiver". Her hotheaded and impatient personality drives her impulsive actions, leading to unpredictable challenges for the Ninja.
Appearance :
Aspheera's appearance, resembles a cobra with dark teal scales and a long tail instead of legs. She has yellow eyes with red-orange irises, and wears golden cobra shoulder armor. When Aspheera, absorbs Kai's, Elemental Power of Fire, her cobra hood becomes flaming, her scales and tail, become golden. In her youth, she had a different look, with red eyes and a black and gold bee-like marking on her forehead. She wields a ""Aspheera's Staff"", which she uses to channel her sorcery and absorb others' Elemental Powers.
Role :
Aspheera's primary role in Ninjago revolves around her history with a young Wu and Garmadon. Thousands of years ago, she tricked Wu into teaching her Spinjitzu after he and Garmadon trespassed into Serpentine Valley. She then used this knowledge to overthrow Mambo V, the reigning Serpentine King, and attempted to conquer Ninjago. Wu and Garmadon stopped her using the Scrolls of Forbidden Spinjitzu, and Wu imprisoned her in a pyramid for millennia, sparking her lifelong quest for vengeance. Accidentally freed by Ninja: Kai, Jay, Cole, Zane, Lloyd, Nya, and Clutch Powers in the modern day, she immediately resumes her quest. She uses her magic staff to steal Kai's Fire Powers, allowing her to resurrect her Pyro Viper army (Char, Pyro Slayers, Pyro Destroyers, and Pyro Whippers) to seek revenge on Master Wu. Then she created the Fire Fang by using her magic to summon it directly out of the lava from the erupting pyramid. Aspheera, eventually banishs Zane to the Never-Realm in her failed attempt to trap Wu. She later joins the Council of the Crystal King to continue her pursuit of revenge. Throughout the series, Aspheera interacts with numerous characters. She interacts with her loyal servant Char, news reporters Gayle Gossip and Vinny, and the Members of the Council of the Crystal King: Harumi, Pythor, Vangelis, and Mr. F.
Journey :
Aspheera's arc concludes, in the Season 15: Crystalized during the Final Battle against the Overlord. She fights against the Ninja as a General in the Crystal Army, using a corrupted Sword of Destruction. Aspheera battles Kai, who manages to reclaim his Sword of Fire from her, purifying it in the process. Finally, Zane freezes her solid for a second time, effectively ending her threat and allowing the Ninja to focus on defeating the Overlord. Aspheera's journey from a power-hungry sorceress to a vengeance-obsessed villain highlights her relentless nature and significant impact on the storyline.
