Background :
LEGO Grimfax, is a supporting character in Ninjago, Season 11 "Ice Chapter," originally the human king of the Never-Realm. Vex, a bitter Formling, manipulated a forgetful Zane into using the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu to overthrow Grimfax and freeze the Realm. Vex forced Grimfax to serve the new "Ice Emperor," turning him into an unwilling, high-ranking Blizzard Warrior. Grimfax eventually learned the truth about Zane's identity and his past as a good person. He secretly rebels and helps the Ninja restore peace.
Appearance :
In his original form as king, Grimfax appeared as a normal human. After his corruption, he wore the blue and greey armor and helmet of the Blizzard Samurai, with his eyes glowing blue to show the Ice Emperor's influence. His signature weapon as a Blizzard Samurai was a large axe, which he wielded effectively in combat.
Role :
Grimfax's primary role in the Season transitioned from an antagonist to a key ally in the Resistance against the Ice Emperor and Vex. Initially, he commanded the Blizzard Samurai army to attacked the Ninja and the Ice Fishers at the Great Lake. However, after overhearing Lloyd talk about Zane's true self, Grimfax's loyalties shifted. He freed Lloyd and Kataru from the dungeon and officially joined their newly formed Resistance, using his Leadership skills and knowledge of the castle to help them reach the throne room and awaken Zane's memories.
Interactions :
Grimfax interacted with several key characters throughout the "Ice Chapter." His most significant interactions involved Lloyd Garmadon and Kataru, Akita's brother. He also battled the Ninja, specifically clashing with Kai and being knocked down by Cole during the attack on the Great Lake. After Zane regained his memory and Vex was defeated, Grimfax, restored as the true king, consulted with the Formlings and collectively decided to banish Vex from the Never-Realm forever. He ultimately became an ally to all the Ninja, including Kai, Cole, Nya, Jay, Lloyd, and Zane, after they restored peace to his Realm.
