LEGO Krux Minifigure Background :
LEGO Krux Minifigure, an older Twin and one of the Two Elemental Masters of Time, with his brother Acronix. The Time Twins, were known as the "Hands of Time"), serves as a primary antagonist in the Ninjago: Season 7 story. Forty Years prior, the Elemental Alliance defeated Krux and Acronix for their attempt to control Ninjago with their Time Powers. The battle banished Acronix into a Temporal Vortex, while Krux secretly escaped the Temporal Vortex. He spent the next Four Decades plotting his revenge, with the disguise of the kindly, eccentric Dr. Sander Saunders, the curator of the Ninjago Museum of History. His ultimate goal involved reuniting with Acronix, breeding an Army of Vermillion Snakes, and using a Time-Traveling Mech, the Iron Doom, to alter history and rule Ninjago.
LEGO Krux Minifigure Appearance :
Krux's physical appearance changes significantly over the 40 Years he spends in hiding. In his youth, he had black hair and a shorter mustache, with a silver helmet during the Serpentine War. As the elderly Dr. Saunders, he uses a fake, long mustache, black glasses, and makeup to cover his face tattoo. He wears a maroon coat and dark gray pants in this persona. Dr. Saunders carries an antique watch and eventually uses Raggmunk's Helmet to control his Snake Army.
Krux's Role :
Krux drives the main conflict of Season 7, patiently plotting his grand scheme over 40 Years. He secretly breeds his Vermillion Army from the Great Devourer's eggs, creating the Commanders Blunck, Raggmunk, and Machia to lead them. Krux also blackmails Ray and Maya, the Former Elemental Masters of Fire and Water, forcing them to forge armor for his Army and build the Iron Doom Mech. He achieves this by threatening their children's lives (Kai & Nya). When Acronix returns to the present, Krux joins forces with him, kidnaps Cyrus Borg to complete the Mech, and battles the Ninja.
Krux's Interactions :
Krux interacts with many Characters throughout his storyline. His closest relationship is with his Twin brother, Acronix, the only person he genuinely cares about despite their opposing views on technology. He manipulates Ray and Maya, forcing them into servitude. Krux battles the Ninja Team: Kai, Nya, Lloyd, Jay, Cole, Zane, Master Wu, and Garmadon. As Dr. Saunders, he interacts with Dareth, other museum staff, and even the younger Ninja during school field trips without them realizing his true identity. He is the Leader of his Vermillion Commanders: Machia, Blunck, and Raggmunk. The Characters that are in the Vermillion Army are Rivett, Slackjaw, Vermin, and Tannin. Krux also had a past connection with Master Chen and Clouse, who did manipulate the Time Twins into their betrayal of the Elemental Alliance.
Krux's Journey :
Ultimately, Krux's plan to rewrite history leads to a final confrontation aboard the Iron Doom Time Machine. Kai, Nya, and Wu pursue the Time Twins into the Temporal Vortex. During the battle, Wu sacrifices himself to stop the Mech, ripping out a Time Blade and trapping himself, Krux, and Acronix in the Temporal Vortex. Krux and his brother's actions leave a lasting legacy, severely straining Maya and Nya's relationship for Years.
