In Ninjago, Bolobo's primary role unfolds during the "Tournament of Elements" storyline. He arrives on Chen's Island as one of many Elemental Masters invited to compete. After losing to Neuro, Master Chen takes Bolobo's Power and forces him to join Chen's Noodle Factory. With his powers restored, he fights alongside the Ninja and Elemental Masters at the Corridor of Elders to defeat Chen. The Anacondrai Cultists in Chen's, Army include Clouse, Eyezor, Zugu, Krait, Sleven, Chope, and Kapau. Nevertheless Bolobo evolves from a competitor into a helpful ally to the Ninja.
Bolobo's Journey :
His first awkward confrontation occurs with Jay. Bolobo bursts through Jay's door, desperate for the Jadeblade, while Jay soaks in the tub. Bolobo and an unclothed Jay fight, creating a memorable lighthearted moment. On the ferry, he impresses Cole with his newfound abilities. Following the Tournament of Elements, Bolobo has notable encounters that impact his character. Nadakhan the Djinn captures and imprisons him in the Djinn Blade, but Jay's final wish erases this all from happening. In the "Hunted" storyline, Ultra Violet captures Bolobo during her "Ultra Hunt" and takes him to Kryptarium Prison. He eventually escapes but does not rejoin the ninja, which results in his absence from the Final Battle and Celebration. As a supporting character, he finds himself in danger, requiring the Ninja's help.
Bolobo's Interactions :
Bolobo interacts with a wide array of characters throughout his appearances. During the Final Battle, he helps the Ninja fight against Master Chen, Clouse, and the Anacondrai Cultists. His allies primarily include the Ninja; Jay, Kai, Zane, Cole, and Lloyd. Additionally, the Elemental Masters Skylor, Karlof, Gravis, Griffin Turner, Jacob Pevsner, Ash, Chamille, Neuro, Shade, Tox, and Mr.Pale are in the Tournament of Elements. During his incarceration, his captors include Ultra Violet and Emperor Garmadon's Forces. Ultimately within his story arc, Bolobo interacts with the Ninja's, as a minor ally.
