Lego Zugu Minifigure Background :
Lego Zugu Minifigure serves as one of Master Chen's two Generals during the Tournament of Elements. Further as a sumo wrestler before joining Chen's Anacondrai Cultists, he leveraged his intimidating size and strength. Loyalty to Chen drove him to participate in the Final Ritual, transforming him and other Cultists into Anacondrai. In addition, the Anacondrai Cultists consists of: Chen, Clouse, Kapau, Eyezor, Clouse, Zugu, and Sleven. At the Corridor of Elders the Anacondrai Cultists face all of the Ninjas: Jay, Kai, Zane, Cole, Nya and Lloyd. Nevertheless his brutal nature made him a valuable asset to Chen's plans for conquest.
Lego Zugu Minifigure Appearance :
Zugu's appearance reflects his aggressive, personality and role as a General. Lego Zugu Minifigure in his human form, has a distinct features including a thick black unibrow and purple facial tattoos. Additionally noted for his red makeup around the eyes, and a single fang. A sharp, triangular tooth marks his lower lip, enhancing his menacing appearance. After the transformation into a Fake Anacondrai, his appearance changes, throughout the show and his statue differs in the Ninjago Museum of History. His imposing physique and armor emphasize his role as a powerful, unrelenting General.
Zugu's Interactions :
Zugu actively interacts with a wide range of characters throughout the Tournament of Elements. Chen and Clouse, give him orders to complete. He works alongside his fellow General, Eyezor, coordinating their efforts and even joining forces with him during the Day of the Departed. As the General, he holds a higher position in the Army compared to other Anacondrai Cultists, Kapau and Chope. He also directly interacts with and torments several of the captured Elemental Masters. Additionally, the Elemental Masters Skylor, Karlof, Gravis, Griffin Turner, Jacob Pevsner, Bolobo, Chamille, Neuro, Shade, Tox, and Mr.Pale are in the Tournament of Elements. Zugu supervises Cole, Karlof, and Jacob in the Noodle Factory, forcing them to work with short breaks. After catching Jacob Pevsner trying to escape, he threatens to feed him to Clouse's pet snake. He confronts Karlof, dismissing his requests and punishing his plots. Notably he even plays a part in capturing Kai and Nya in the Day of the Departed Special.
Zugu's Downfall :
Zugu's defeat concludes his physical story, though he continues it as a ghost. The original Anacondrai Generals banish him and the other Cultists to the Cursed Realm for their deception. When Nya destroys the Preeminent, Zugu's spirit moves on to the Departed Realm. He returns temporarily during the Day of the Departed, possessing his statue to seek revenge on Kai and Nya alongside Chen with Eyezor. A tree branch destroys Zugu's statue, sending his spirit permanently back to the Departed Realm. Ultimately his actions demonstrate his loyalty to Chen and his brutal nature until his final defeat.
