In her brief, Serpent-Anacondrai form, her skin and hair turn purple, with scales appearing on her body. Skylor's role in Ninjago is crucial and complex, transitioning from a villainous spy to a vital ally and hero. During the Tournament of Elements, she secretly aids her father by manipulating the elemental masters. Additionally, the Elemental Masters Ash, Karlof, Gravis, Griffin Turner, Jacob Pevsner, Bolobo, Chamille, Neuro, Shade, Tox, and Mr.Pale are in the Tournament of Elements. However her burgeoning feelings for Kai cause her to question her loyalty. This internal conflict leads in her betrayal of Chen. The Anacondrai Cultists include, Chen, Clouse, Eyezor, Zugu, Krait, Sleven, Chope, and Kapau. Afterward, she takes over Chen's Noodle House, using it as a respectable business and a valuable resource for the Ninja. After reclaiming her powers in Season 9, she becomes a leader in the Resistance against Lord Garmadon to help protect Ninjago.

Skylor first copies Kai's Fire during their introduction, a foreshadowing of their connection. Throughout the tournament, she uses Jacob's sound and Neuro's telepathy, powers. Her abilities prove critical during the fight against Lord Garmadon, where she absorbs his elemental power of Destruction. However though this temporarily leaves her comatose. Her power's versatility and raw potential, though sometimes overwhelming, make her one of the most powerful allies.

She forms a close friendship with Kai's sister, Nya, who sees Skylor's positive changes and admires her resilience. Her interactions with her father, Master Chen, are a major source of conflict, as she ultimately rejects his wicked nature. She also works closely with Lloyd, leading the Resistance against Lord Garmadon and forming a strong tactical partnership. In addition to her main relationships, Skylor interacts frequently with the other ninja and Elemental Masters. She assists Cole and Zane during various missions and is an ally to Jay. She also shares common ground with the reformed criminal Ronin, and is often interrupted by Dareth. Skylor's interactions with these characters highlight her journey from a self-interested individual to a compassionate and dependable hero.
