LEGO The Colossus Background :
LEGO The Colossus, also known as the Oni Titan, was a massive stone giant Lord Garmadon created using his Elemental Power of Destruction and Creation. Made of large boulders and glowing violet eyes, it physically resembled the armor associated with the Oni Mask of Hatred. The Colossus served as Garmadon's Ultimate Weapon, a source of destruction he unleashed upon Ninjago City to enforce his rule during the "Hunted" Season. It had no true personality of its own; Garmadon controlled its actions, using it to crush all opposition.
LEGO The Colossus' Role :
The Colossus' primary role in the narrative was to follow Garmadon's overwhelming power and oppression, establishing a seemingly unstoppable threat that drove the plot. Garmadon forged the Oni Titan to force the citizens and Police Commissioners of Ninjago City into submission. The stone giant's rampage resulted in the destruction of the Destiny's Bounty, leading Lloyd and Harumi to believe the original Ninja and Master Wu were defeated. This critical event separated the core cast, sending the original Ninja (Kai, Jay, Zane, and Cole) to the First Realm and forcing Lloyd and Nya to form the Resistance, thus driving the Season's main storylines.
Colossus' Interactions :
The Oni Titan directly interacted with numerous characters, primarily in combative or controlling capacities. The Ninja Team: Kai, Jay, Cole, Zane, and P.I.X.A.L. initially confronted the stone giant, but quickly realized they could not defeat it, only temporarily slow down its movements (Jay use used overhead wires to electrocuted it; Cole cracked the ground, causing the Colossus fall). The Oni Titan, nearly crushed Nya's armored car while pursuing the Resistance Members inside (Lloyd, Skylor, and Dareth).
The Oni Titan's Journey :
A significant interaction occurred when the Elemental Master Skylor, used her power of Amber, to absorb Garmadon's essence and temporarily seized control of the Colossus. During Skylor's struggle for control with Garmadon, the Oni Titan stumbled and inadvertently destroyed an apartment building, resulting in Harumi's defeat. Other minor characters, such as Antonia (a papergirl), and the Postman, also encountered the Oni Titan during its city-wide rampage. The stone giant encounters the Ninja's allies, including the Ninjago Policemen, and the Resistance Members (Lloyd, Nya, Skylor, P.I.X.A.L., Misako, Dareth, Nuero, Mr. Pale, Tox, Shade, Karlof, Griffin Turner, and Ronin) during the Season 9, Hunted storyline.
The Oni's Titan's Down Fall :
Ultimately, the combined efforts of the returning Ninja (Kai, Jay, Cole, and Zane), Master Wu, the Dragons (led by Firstbourne) from the First Realm, and the citizens of Ninjago City took Colossus down. The Ninjas and the Dragons incapacitated the Colossus with chains and vengestone harpoons. When Lloyd used the Art of the Silent Fist to revoke Garmadon of his powers, the source of the Colossus' power vanished. The massive Oni Titan instantly lost its strength, crumbling back into lifeless rocks.
